Make your music your own.

Not your mama’s lessons.

Parents might remember learning only classical music with endless months of perfecting pieces. Lessons today let students explore all genres of music and decide themselves when to perfect and when to move on. There might still be exams but the music can be classical, jazz, or contemporary - it’s your choice.

Explore your creative side.

Do you know what a lead sheet is? Or how to improvise on a chord progression? Have you ever composed your own music? Juanita believes every student should learn to play by ear in addition to playing with the music, and students are encouraged to start incorporating improvisation and creative exercises in their practice sessions.

Pursuing further musical studies.

Whether teens are thinking about majoring in music or keeping it as a side gig, Juanita will help them achieve their goals and prepare for future studies. Her familiarity with the various conservatories and courses of study will help guide students in the best direction for each student.

What People Are Saying

Juanita Stauffer has only been my daughter’s music teacher for a few months, but we are extremely happy. Ms. Stauffer is very knowledgeable, organized, encouraging and kind. She has clear, reasonable expectations for my daughter, but is also flexible. Although my daughter is working through the Royal Conservatory program, Ms. Stauffer supplements with some fun pieces. This has been wonderful. My daughter always looks forward to her lesson. She practices without me having to remind her…this is a BIG thing…she has been taking piano lessons for six years and this has never happened before! ~ Sherri
